Corte Madera Commercial Code Modernization Project
Tuesday, March 24, 2026
7:00 PM
Corte Madera Planning Commission will hold a study session to discuss the Commercial Code Modernization Project.
The Town is undertaking a comprehensive effort to modernize and update its commercial zoning regulations. The purpose of the Commercial Code Modernization project is to create a more effective, flexible, and user-friendly regulatory framework that reflects modern business types, streamlines administration, and supports economic development. The Town is evaluating potential amendments to allow gyms and other businesses to operate outdoors, add greater flexibility for parking requirements, and establish regulations for temporary uses such as food trucks.
Overall, the project is intended to take a business-friendly approach that supports business attraction and retention while advancing the Town’s economic development goals. The proposed amendments would apply to the Town’s four commercial districts (C1, C2, C3, C4) and the mixed-use district (MX-1).
Additional information about the project is available here.
